There's alot of News, directly from The North Pole. Some reports are great ! While hopefully, other bulletins won't be disappointing.
First, here's alittle statement which Mrs. Claus hates to admit: This website will take quite a few years to complete. So, it won't be finished anytime this year, or next.
But, there's already alot to see. So, feel free to surf the entire neighborhood Page by page, from start to finish. Be my guest.
However, the Good news, is that, we intend to support this website for many generations to come.
There are many great plans for the future.
These include, thousands of original pictures courtesy of The-GameLord. As well as, a display of currency from different corners of the globe. Also, this site will one day become an emporium of old Beanie Baby collectibles. many say, Mrs. Claus is off her rocker, because, it's considered Passe. But, we believe, this feature would always remain interesting. Mrs. Claus has perhaps the worlds largest collection, to display. (....several months into the future of this website).
Jollyoldsaintnick.net was originally designed as a wiki site. Meaning that it was intended to rely greatly upon contributors. We wanted to gather photographs of Christmas trees, house decorations, village displays, churches, and other moments from around the globe. Especially, finding those rare old photographs. But, new memories are also important. And, if many people supplied their cherished memories, it would create the perfect magic touch.
This website was originally entitled e-letters to Santa. In fact, the domain,
letters-to-santa.net still works.
I envisioned a website based primarily upon families everywhere. Just imagine looking at pictures of everytown U.S.A., as well as, Christmas throughout the world. Do your children paint their own drawings for the holidays? Mrs. Claus would Love to see them
However, software errors have prevented this from becoming an automatic feature. Thus, any "user contributions" must be manually submitted to a forum. (or email us). Sorry for the inconvenience.
So, feel free to post a photograph, letter, drawing or message to the forums.
For those who wish to know a basic F.A.Q.: ---jollyoldsaintnick.net was originally intended to openly display wonderful letters written by our viewers. And, this offer still stands. However, this site was not designed for the purpose of receiving telephone responses from Santa. There are other sites providing this service. And, our directory-page gives a few links.
However, Mrs Claus will always respond to any correspondence. So, if you'd like to submit a question, don't be shy.
--Also, I'm hoping that everyone will participate in a WIKI theme. This simply means, you help to build this website. Perhaps, if you wish to review various Christmas movies. Become a critic.
Other options include poetry, artwork drawn by children, photographs of your favorite decorations.
or, please send a letter, telling us about your fondest holiday memories. Jollyoldsaintnick.net wants to be a group sourced by user contribution. ....Even a simple picture would help immensely.
You may have noticed, this entire website almost looks like a "Super-Charged Myspace Profile". One reason is because, it will require several years of effort to complete this site. There has yet to be a layout for any pages. And, there's a backlog of 10,ooo original pictures awaiting completion. And, we're not expected to finish anytime soon. But, Santa's grandkids are expected to help for many generations to come.
Please be patient, if some pages appear unfinished. Some failures have occurred, and will be fixed shortly. Also, Mrs. C has preferred to build a productive website, rather than one that is perfected, but brief. SO, in the future, you can expect to see enormous depth to this site. .....However, it comes at a cost of sacrificing alittle precision.
finally, this site will be phasing out of Videos posted by YouTube. Many famous cartoons are independently uploaded by users. But, the film's originators do not approve of this. So, in the future, only the public domain cartoons and homemade videos will remain.
On December 21, Mrs Claus is pleased to add "The World Weather" page to this site. Thus removing any undesirable links. This is another step forward, toward making this website self-sufficient. Hopefully, in the future, our staff will be less reliant upon outside sources. As you're all aware, 3rd party sites tend to be unreliable.
Here's the message which appeared on the Homepage for longer than a year !
Hey, this website is still being constructed. so, be sure to check back, next month.. --sincerely, Jolly Old Saint Nick, & Mrs. Claus.
