We are all familiar with annual holiday classics, such as Rankin-Bass, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". But, before 1962, this type of genre didn't exist. It's difficult to imagine, there was a time when Christmas programs didn't appear on Network television. Luckily, before that time, there were some Animated shorts dedicated toward the Holiday Theme.
And, it's not quite the same as full-length features, there's still a rich animated history yet to be explored.
The following playlist of cartoons merely serves as a guideline demonstrating the type of cartoons which existed prior to the television era. Santa's Workshop recommends that you purchase DVD's from your local Department Store. Youtube videos are not intended to replace sales. Rather instead, our goal is to inform others that such vintage cartoons exist.

Many of these cartoons are still available on Home-video, by their perspective owners. Santa will provide this list soon.

There were also a few cartoons (near the end of the playlist) which regrettably might be considered somewhat offensive. However, they warrant artistic merit. The following cartoons were splendidly animated, and cleverly written. that's why, they should remain included in the holiday line-up. Although Mrs Claus believes the humor is quite harmless.
